Shelton Designs
Every child in school worked on our ‘Shelton Designs’ project to explore the work of British designers and to produce work in the style of these designers. This work was to build upon our previously successful ‘Shelton Paints’ and ‘Shelton Sculpts’ projects.
Supported by Tan Draig, creative practitioner, the children made clothes and hats in the style of designers including Vivienne Westwood Philip Treacy using recycled materials. Hats, jewellery, skirts, dresses, tops and trousers were produced by the children!
The work culminated with a very exciting fashion show in the school hall when everyone proudly wore their stunning creations.
Many families took up the challenge of designing outfits for Mr Leigh and Miss Derbyshire with the winning designs made into super outfits which they wore at the fashion show!
